Introduction


SULAM improves student learning by linking theory with real-world practice while also serving as a platform to enhance character, civic skills, and citizenship among students. By meeting community needs through volunteer activities that leverage students’ expertise according to their disciplines, SULAM fosters a collaborative environment between students, faculty, and the community.

The community of Taman Samarindah faces a problem. They have two badminton courts but only one umpire chair for one of the courts. This means they lack an umpire chair for the other court. Hence, they proposed and requested to make a new umpire chair for the other court.

As we progress, our group reflects back on the progress made before, during and after SULAM concluded. What a journey this has been for us. From having demo session with smaller groups to fabricating an actual product to the community. All of us can appreciate the time dedicated to creating and finalising the product.
